Manufacturing & Quality

Manufactured in Germany.

Our botanical concentrate is manufactured in Germany, with quality control applied at batch level for consistency from one container to the next. The supporting documentation — registration, analysis, safety and origin — is prepared and ready to share with qualified buyers.

Manufacturing & standards

The standard travels with the product, not the address.

For a procurement officer or a distributor, two things matter: where a product is made, and the standard it is made to. Ours is made in Germany, to European Union production standards.

BEDO Africa's neem-based botanical insecticide is manufactured in Germany. It is produced in Düsseldorf, under the process discipline, documentation practice and material controls that German manufacturing requires.

Made in Germany is more than provenance. It signals a production framework that governs how inputs are handled, how each batch is controlled, and how the paperwork behind a shipment is generated and retained — the things that let a government tender, an NGO programme or a commercial farm rely on what arrives.

The neem raw material (Azadirachta indica) is botanical in origin, and the finished product is a biodegradable concentrate that dilutes roughly 1:100 to 1:400 with clean water. That combination — a botanical mode of action, a high-yield concentrate and German manufacturing — is the foundation everything else on this page rests on.

The relationship between our German production origin and our Kenyan base is part of the company's story. We set it out in full on our company page.

Quality control approach

Control at the level that matters — the batch.

Consistency is not an outcome you can promise; it is a discipline you apply to every production run. Ours is applied per batch.

Batch-level quality control

Quality control is applied at batch level, so each production run is checked before it is released rather than assumed from an earlier one. This is the level at which a buyer purchasing repeat volumes needs assurance, and it is the level at which we work.

Consistency of the concentrate

Because the product ships as a concentrate that dilutes roughly 1:100 to 1:400, consistency at source directly affects the result in the field. Controlling the concentrate batch by batch means the same drum behaves the same way when a distributor or end user dilutes it.

German manufacturing discipline

The checks sit inside a German production framework covering how inputs are received, how a run is documented and how a finished batch is signed off. It is the framework, not any single test, that makes the documentation defensible.

We do not publish our proprietary methods or the formulation itself — those remain confidential, as they should for any registered product. What we do share is the assurance framework around them, and the documents that let a qualified buyer verify a batch for their own procurement or import file.

Documentation on request

The full document set — ready when you are.

Serious procurement runs on paperwork. Ours is prepared and available to qualified buyers on request. These are supplied for review, not published for open download.

  • PCPB registration certificate — confirmation of registration with the Kenya Pest Control Products Board.
  • Certificate of Analysis (COA) — issued per batch, so each shipment can be tied to its own analysis.
  • Safety Data Sheet (SDS) — handling, storage and safety information for procurement, logistics and end-user teams.
  • Certificate of Origin — supporting import documentation and country-of-origin verification.
  • Product label / technical data sheet — the product specification and directions relevant to professional use.
  • Company registration (CR12 / incorporation) — corporate identity and standing for supplier vetting and due diligence.
